I've been having lots of discussions around the difference between collaboration vs cooperation recently and I wanted to try and capture the essence of this in a poster (see below). I've also created some analogies for both, they make perfect sense to me, I hope they make the difference clear to others too.

Cooperation:

Like... asking some friends to help you prepare food for your dinner party but they're not invited!

Collaboration:

Like... planning a weekend away with friends and everyone suggesting ideas for where to go, what to do and discussing all the options to make the trip the best it can be for everyone going!

Here is the design I thought gives a high-level overview of what the difference is, although I appreciate there are many other factors around things like trust level, communications flow, engagement and many more.
